The Cambridge Year 9 Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examination is an external assessment set and marked by Cambridge International for students typically aged 11-14, at the end of the lower secondary programme, students are tested in English, Mathematics and Science.
Each year approximately 130 000 students globally participate in the Cambridge Year 9 Checkpoint Examinations. The examinations are designed to provide an international benchmark of student performance and diagnostic feedback on strengths and weaknesses before students progress to IGCSE, O Level or IB studies.
In 2025 the KBH Year 9 cohort faired exceptionally well in the Cambridge Year 9 Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examinations scoring well above the international average.
Special mention must be made of the KBH Year 9 Checkpoint Mathematics results in particular where KBH students scored an average of 81%. This is an amazing achievement demonstrating that our students are excelling at Mathematics when benchmarked against global standards.
