Chess ECA is an engaging and interactive activity where students are introduced to the exciting world of chess, a game of strategy, creativity, and smart decision-making. In a fun and supportive setting, students learn how each piece moves and gradually build their skills in planning strategies, spotting tactics, and thinking several steps ahead, from simple opening ideas to more advanced middle-game and endgame play.
Through guided coaching, friendly matches, and challenging chess puzzles, students sharpen their focus, patience, and problem-solving abilities while enjoying healthy competition with their peers. Along the way, they also develop confidence, resilience, and respect for opponents, and for those who progress further, there are opportunities to take part in exciting tournaments and even represent the school in competitive events.
